Closest to July 6 |
| O God, who hast taught
us to keep all thy commandments by loving thee and our neighbor: Grant us
the grace of thy Holy Spirit, that we may be devoted to thee with our whole
heart, and united to one another with pure affection; through Jesus Christ
our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the same Spirit, one God,
for ever and ever. Amen. |

Lesson |
Isaiah 66:10-16
"Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice
with her in joy, all you who mourn over her; that you may suck and be
satisfied with her consoling breasts; that you may drink deeply with delight
from the abundance of her glory." For thus says the LORD: "Behold, I will
extend prosperity to her like a river, and the wealth of the nations like an
overflowing stream; and you shall suck, you shall be carried upon her hip,
and dandled upon her knees. As one whom his mother comforts, so I will
comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem. You shall see, and your
heart shall rejoice; your bones shall flourish like the grass; and it shall
be known that the hand of the LORD is with his servants, and his indignation
is against his enemies. "For behold, the LORD will come in fire, and his
chariots like the stormwind, to render his anger in fury, and his rebuke
with flames of fire. For by fire will the LORD execute judgment, and by his
sword, upon all flesh; and those slain by the LORD shall be many. |

Galatians 6:(1-10)14-18
Bear One Another's Burdens
Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual
should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Look to yourself, lest you too
be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if any one thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives
himself. But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be
in himself alone and not in his neighbor. For each man will have to bear his own load. Let him who is taught the word share all good things with him who
teaches. Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he
will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but
he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap,
if we do not lose heart. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and
especially to those who are of the household of faith. See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand. It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh that would
compel you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be
persecuted for the cross of Christ. For even those who receive circumcision do not themselves keep the law,
but they desire to have you circumcised that they may glory in your flesh. But far be it from me to glory except in the cross of our Lord Jesus
Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a
new creation. Peace and mercy be upon all who walk by this rule, upon the Israel of
God. Henceforth let no man trouble me; for I bear on my body the marks of
Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen. |

Luke 10:1-12,16-20
The Mission and Return of the Seventy
Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things
which have been accomplished among us, just as they were delivered to us by those who from the beginning were
eyewitnesses and ministers of the word, it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some
time past, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent The-oph'ilus, that you may know the truth concerning the things of which you have been
informed. In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechari'ah,
of the division of Abi'jah; and he had a wife of the daughters of Aaron, and
her name was Elizabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments
and ordinances of the Lord blameless. But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and both were
advanced in years. Now while he was serving as priest before God when his division was on
duty, according to the custom of the priesthood, it fell to him by lot to enter
the temple of the Lord and burn incense. And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour
of incense. And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right
side of the altar of incense. And Zechari'ah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him. And he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God, and he will go before him in the spirit and power of Eli'jah, to turn
the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom
of the just, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared." And Zechari'ah said to the angel, "How shall I know this? For I am an
old man, and my wife is advanced in years." And the angel answered him, "I am Gabriel, who stand in the presence of
God; and I was sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news. And behold, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day that
these things come to pass, because you did not believe my words, which will
be fulfilled in their time." |
